Once again went out far to late after a heavy night on the beers. By the time I was fully rigged, it was almost 3PM with barely an hour of daylight left. After the strong winds in the morning, I thought conditions would be ideal but the wind was dying down all the time and the tide was going out in the estuary. Me and Bongo both rigged 5.4's as they were the only sails we brought, it was a panic rigging as we were so eager to get on the water but the rush slowed us down as we rigged up rather sloppishly not having much downhaul or outhaul. All the time the tide was going out which was narrowing down our runs as the estuary began to empty. I managed a few good runs but never built up any good speed so it was just a case of practising light wind manouveres. After a good hour and a half, darkness was approaching fast so we decided to call it a day and derigged. Judging from Justals early morning session, Im sure if we had gone out earlier, it could of been a 4 or 5 star with the nice strong winds and The high tide.
